Dracomorphs Prologue

An excerpt from The Book of Ages:

Once upon a time, there were two dragons. One was named Light, and the other was Darkness. Light and Darkness were brothers, and they were the very best of friends. Both had unimaginable powers, and they used them to create the universe and all of its countless worlds. They created the trees, rocks, rivers, mountains, and valleys. They created the birds, the reptiles, the fish, the insects, the amphibians, and the mammals. And, last of all, they created humans.
Many years passed, and the humans had spread across the Earth… which was not necessarily a good thing. The humans did nothing but fight, and Light and Darkness were tired of it. So they created the Eight Dragon Gods and Goddesses of the Elements (beings who could turn into dragons) to restore peace and order to the world.
There were four gods and four goddesses. The four gods were Pyrocore the Fire Dragon, Magmus the Lava Dragon, Zakrius the Lightning Dragon, and Traezek the Death Dragon, who was put in charge of making weapons for the rest of the Dragon Gods. The four goddesses were Takora the Wind Dragon, Vasundhara the Earth Dragon, Winthra the Ice Dragon, and Selissa the Water Dragon.
The Dragon Gods and Goddesses ruled wisely alongside Light and Darkness, and peace reigned throughout the Earth.
But one day, while Light and Darkness were walking through the forest and appreciating all that they had created, they stumbled upon a strange rock that neither of them could remember creating. The rock seemed to radiate pure shadow. When Darkness touched the strange rock, he became consumed by what is now known as Dark Power, and attacked Light. An epic battle ensued, resulting in Light having to summon the Dragon Gods and banishing Darkness’s spirit to the Dark World. But before his spirit was banished, Darkness cast a spell, causing the bodies of Light and the Dragon Gods to be destroyed, and their spirits scattered across the globe. The humans mourned the loss of their rulers and creators, and could not believe that Darkness would turn on his own brother. Nowadays, whatever allows us to see in the shadows, we call light, and whatever tries to consume that light, we call darkness, after the two brothers, Light and Darkness. As for their spirits, Darkness’s spirit is (hopefully) still trapped in the Dark World, and the spirits of Light and the Dragon Gods are still scattered everywhere.

The night was dark and chilly, which was just the way Traezek liked it. His experience with humans had taught him that they normally didn’t go outside in these conditions, unless they had something to hide, which meant that there was less of a chance of him being seen. The one thing that would have made this night better would be if the moon wasn’t full, but Traezek liked a challenge.
He was hiding in the bushes by the gate that guarded Elmwood Drive. Elmwood Drive was pretty much just a driveway that led up to the enormous mansion that belonged to the Blaze family.
Traezek normally wouldn’t have bothered to do what he was about to do, but this was urgent. The signs were everywhere, and the day of The Eclipse was in three months. He needed to find all of the new Hosts and train them before…  But he didn’t want to think about that.
Suddenly, he saw his chance. The guard that had been guarding the gate finally closed his eyes and fell asleep. Now was Traezek’s chance. He dashed to the gate and silently climbed over it. He could have turned into his dragon form and easily smashed down the gate, but stealth was paramount for this mission. Traezek ran up the long and serpentine driveway, his padded boots making no sound upon the asphalt. He finally stood in front of the enormous Blaze family mansion.
The Blaze mansion looked even bigger than it had looked from the bottom of Elmwood Drive. Huge columns supported the area of the roof that hung over the large porch area. The mansion was gargantuan in size, with white walls that looked bedazzling in the day time, but looked absolutely stunning in the moonlight. The door was about forty-eight feet high and forty feet wide, big enough for twelve elephants to walk in, side by side, and with room to spare. And, over the doorway, the Blaze family crest glimmered in the moonlight: a depiction of a flame on a shield with dragon wings on either side. If this wasn’t the home of the new host of Pyrocore’s spirit, Traezek didn’t know what was.
Traezek ran to the door. He searched inside his cloak for a moment, and then pulled out a long, yellow envelope with the words “Tanner Blaze” written on it. He placed it on the doorstep, and ran down the driveway. The new Host would find it in the morning, hopefully a bit earlier than the others, and then he would do again the thing which he had been doing for eons: to prepare and train the hosts of the spirits of Light and his brothers and sisters to fight the new Host of the spirit of Darkness. And this time, he knew, failure was not an option.

This prologue takes place the night before the events of chapter one.

Cartoon Illustration

Today I decided to show some stuff I did for my Cartoon Illustration class.

This is just a picture of a giant clay monster that's breaking a crate to get to him. I like this because it shows how I'm getting better at perspectives.

Just a cartoon of a guy that's so scared of a spider that he jumped on his friends head to get away from it.

The next few are pictures that I drew based on the characters of a guy in my online school that is known mainly as Fernando the Zombie Slayer. I took artistic license to give them their own special powers.

He actually does have a wooden spoon named Pooky in real life.

Fernando the Zombie Slayer (the character) actually does have a flamingo as a weapon, but I took artistic license to actually give it a name.

Artistic licensing at its finest.

L. G. stands for Lime Green.

Fun bit of trivia: the Lime Green Llama is our online schools "mascot".

Dracomorphs Chapter Two

Strom

It was a calm, clear day, the type of day one would hate to see wasted on things like algebra and quantum physics. Unfortunately, that is just what the kids in Sky Strom's class at Greenforest Junior High. It was also the last day of school. Sky hardly ever had a clear day to spend having fun, instead of staying inside doing homework, because  every time he stepped  outside, intent on having a good time, the sky got cloudy, and lightning crackled through the sky.  He could never figure out if it was either just pure chance, or if nature itself was intent on ruining his day.
Sky Strom also had a... condition. Whenever he was frustrated or angry, electric devices started to short out, and anyone in the nearest vicinity's hair would stand on end. It wasn't really too bad, but it did make people watch out for him.
He was waiting for school to end so that he could go outside  and enjoy the clear weather. After what felt like hours (he had a theory that there is a device hidden in every school that causes time to slow to a near standstill), the bell rang. The class hurriedly gathered their stuff and stampeded out of the door. In the hallway, it was like a swarm of bees. All of the students were rushing to clear out their lockers, before hurrying to the doors and out onto the sidewalk. Sky got to his locker as fast as anyone else, grabbed all of his stuff, and ran out the door. But no sooner did he feel the sun on my face, that the sky almost immediately clouded over. Sky heard the rumble of thunder in his ears, and rain came pouring down. He should have known the clear sky wouldn't last. But suddenly, he was overtaken with an irrational anger, anger like he had never felt before. Why did this always happen to him, he thought. It was supposed to be the first day of summer, the first day of freedom in the year! Why did his bad luck have to ruin it for him? Why did Nature have to hate him so much!?
Later, looking back, he would see that he may have overreacted a bit.
At that moment, he felt a surge of power. he didn't know where it came from or how he got it, but it felt good, like he could do anything. Something caught his eye. It was the principal's new Ferrari. He was always bragging about it to anyone who would listen. He didn't know why, but at that moment, Sky hated that car as if it had done him a personal wrong. He felt all of his rage being unleashed on that one car. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning out of nowhere blasted the car into nothing. Sky's rage immediately disappeared, replaced with total dread. He was in so much trouble.

Dracomorphs Chapter One

Blaze

Friday, May 30th at Greenforest Junior High.
The day before Summer Break, when everybody’s trying to finish as much put-off homework that has piled up over the semester so they don’t have to worry about it during the break, and everyone’s in a rush to turn it in before the teachers go home for the break. Tanner should have been home finishing homework, but there was a problem.
He was in detention… again.
Tanner Blaze was the son of Aiden and Pyralise Blaze, two of the richest people in the world. They had more money than the beach had grains of sand. The problem with having parents who had more money than they knew what to do with, was that people avoided him. Everybody acted like they liked him, but Tanner knew they feared him, from the way they acted around him, to the way they walked away from him whenever he came near, to the way they looked at him like he was something gross that was stuck to the bottom of their shoe. He knew why: they were afraid of his parents, and Tanner knew they had good reason to.
His parents had misconceptions about school. They thought that school was like a madhouse, and they always sent Tanner to school with bodyguards. So, whenever one of tanner’s schoolmates tried to make friends with him, or make any other kind of physical, vocal, or even eye contact whatsoever, his bodyguards would attack them, tie them up, and leave them in someone’s locker. This always got him into trouble, and he often had to deal with detention for the entire school year, even though he had told his teachers, time and time again, not to punish him for his parents’ crazy misconceptions about school. Add all of that to the fact that strange occurrences with fire always seemed to happen around him, and you have a boy who’s not really happy about school.
As the minutes of detention rolled by, Tanner pondered over how he had gotten into detention this time.
He had been playing (without his bodyguards) on the basketball court, trying to see how many shots he could get through the hoop without stopping, but his head wasn’t really into it. He was thinking about the envelope. Earlier that day, he had found a long, yellow envelope with his name on it when he had gone out to get the mail. It had no address, no stamp, and the letter inside it was unsigned.

Haunted Cave, Dead Man’s Canyon, 8:00 pm.
Sneak out if you must.

Those were the words that had been on the letter in the envelope. Haunted Cave, Dead Man’s Canyon, 8:00 pm, he repeated in his mind.
Dead Man’s Canyon was a few miles out of town, and it was one of the most feared places in town: mostly because a notorious axe-murderer had been found dead there. He was found with claw and tooth marks all over his body, and they weren’t small either. He had been massacred by something really big. Most people guessed he had been mauled by an abnormally large bear, but wildlife experts said that they had seen victims of bear attacks before, and this wasn’t like anything they had ever seen. Some people thought wolves did it; others thought that a mountain lion was to blame. In any case, people stayed away from there after that. Haunted Cave was one of the many caves in the canyon. It was well known due to its gargantuan size, and the fact that loud howls and wails coming from the cave made people believe that the ghost of the dead axe-killer lived there. It was probably just the wind rushing from the cave, but people still stayed away from there.
The myths about Haunted Cave and Dead Man’s Canyon might have perturbed a normal person, but Tanner was anything but a normal person. The only problem was how to get out of the house while his parents were still awake…
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the Fire Freak,” said a familiar voice. Tanner turned around with a sigh. He came face-to-face with a large, stocky 14-year-old boy with messy red hair. “Hello, Quinton,” Tanner said.
Quinton Braxton was the top bully of Greenforest Junior High. He and his tag-alongs often taunted Tanner when his bodyguards weren’t around. They never tried to beat him up though, probably because they were afraid of what Tanner could do when he was angry and there was fire around, for which Tanner was mostly grateful. If he came home with a black eye or a bruise anywhere on his body, his parents’ level of over-protectiveness would reach heights never even conceived before.
“Where are your big bad bodyguards, Fire Freak? You thought you could take care of yourself now, Fire Freak?” said Quinton. “Oh, come on, Quinton,” said Tanner. “Don’t you think you could come up with a more intelligent nickname for me? Maybe ‘the Flame-inator,’ or ‘the Blaze-meister’? I mean, seriously!” “’Oh, look at me, I’m so clever, I know big words,’” said Quinton, in a mocking voice, “says the guy with the report card that would make a dunce look like a genius!” This earned a big laugh from his cronies. “Can I help it if my parents won’t let me go to school unless I let them send me with stupid bodyguards who always get me in detention?” said Tanner. “Well, I don’t see any bodyguards,” said Quinton, “and I don’t see any fire, which means there’s nothing to stop me from beating you up!” And before Tanner could react, Quinton had punched him hard in the stomach. A hard pain shot through Tanner’s abdomen, as Quinton’s cronies cheered their leader on. Quinton kept punching him, kicking him, and in general causing Tanner extreme pain all over his body, all the while earning jeers and taunts from Quinton’s followers. Tanner fell to the ground, and Quinton stood over him, a mocking sneer on his face. “Face it, Fire Freak!” Quinton said. “You’re a freak, and that’s all you’ll ever be!” Cheers of agreement sounded from Quinton’s cronies that had formed a circle around them. Tanner finally couldn’t take it anymore.
He snapped.
An intense warmth sprouted in his chest. It spread, until it felt as if his body was on fire. He began to see flames on the edge of his vision. He felt immense energy in his body, and something inside him told him to release it. He began to rise in the air. And then, all of the energy and heat exploded from his body in a fast-expanding dome of fire. Then, when all of the energy was released, he dropped to the ground, and you would have never guessed that he had just been in a fight with Quinton Braxton. There wasn’t a bruise or scratch anywhere on his body. The only thing abnormal about the scene was the immense, charred circle of burnt concrete with black, charred grass where the burnt concrete ended. Quinton Braxton and his cronies lay comatose at the edges of the circle, with their clothes singed, and minor cuts and burns on their bodies.
Ten minutes later, in detention, Tanner still wondered what exactly had happened.

Birthday Bash!

On June 25th, 2013, I, the Legend Weaver, turned 16 years of age, and acquired and created a bountiful haul of MOCs. This post is specifically to show you all what I created on this momentous day.

Addonexus

This guy was a MOC created by my brother Bowen that he gave to me on my birthday. Of course, I had to tinker with him.

Originally he had wings (I actually might put those back on him, now that I think about it), but I replaced those with gold armor on his back because I wanted him to look more like a rhino.

I also gave him two one-handed gravity hammers inspired by the Halo video game series.

Zurahk

I got this guy from my younger brother Barak (an 8-year-old, and avid MOCer). I gave him some upgrades, a name, and a little back story:
Unit R94 was the last Yellow Rahkshi on Spherus Magna, after Toa Tahu used the Golden Armor to wipe out the rest of the Rahkshi army. The Kraata inside it severely damaged, and having lost it's Staff of Heat Vision, it managed to hide inside a cave.
As it lay down to take it's final rest, it was awakened by a hooded, cloaked figure. The figure spoke, saying, "I am Necron. I have come to give you a second chance at life." And the figure touched the Rahkshi's chest with the blade of his massive scythe. Life flooded into the Rahkshi's once robotic limbs, as the essence of the Kraata was merged with the robotic armor it controlled, as well as being enhanced and transformed. The Rahkshi examined it's new, more powerful limbs, and was surprised that he no longer felt any form of connection, current or lost, to the fallen Makuta Teridax. Then he was surprised that he no longer thought of himself as an 'it'. "I have transformed you into a being with free will, and an identity of it's own," said Necron. "You are now free to exploit your new powers however you wish."
The Rahkshi looked up. "New Powers?" he said. "Why yes," said Necron. "In addition to your free will, I have given you the power of lightning, so that you may wield one of the most powerful weapons in the universe: the Storm Saber." Necron said these last words with great reverence. "Also, Unit R94 is a bit of a boring name for the soon-to-be most powerful Rahkshi in the universe," he said. "What do you think of Zurahk?" The Rahkshi pondered this for a moment. "Zurahk... A fine name," he finally said.

I like this guy because he's just so darn COOL!!!

Lewa Revamp

This is just a revamp of my second favorite Toa of Air (my favorite being my Self-MOC, Machus), Lewa.
Hi!

Now onward!

To the final birthday acquisition!

Axonn

This guy is just a set that I got from my parents. He's not much really... ah, who am I kidding?
THIS GUY IS STINKIN' BEAST!!!!! I mean, who wouldn't be beast with an axe like that?

I know, right?
Anyway, that's all for now. Here's a good-bye from Axonn.

See ya!
